About the Event

The Kansas City Metropolitan Crime Commission is hosting its 71st Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Luncheon on Friday, September 25, 2020. Due to COVID-19, this long-standing tradition and signature fundraiser event will be a virtual event this year titled "Community of One".

"Community of One" will tell the story of individuals in our community who are making a positive difference for the good of our community. Our Keynote Speaker Chief Reneé Hall, Dallas Police Department, will share how she has made significant strides to advance the nation's ninth largest police department. Her vision, aligned with 21st Century Policing, focuses on reducing crime, increasing recruitment and retention, providing new opportunities for officer career development, modernizing the organization's effectiveness through enhanced technology, and improving and nurturing community relationships.
