The Kansas City Metropolitan Crime Commission mourns the loss of long-standing Board Member Bailus Tate.

Bailus came to the Board in 1995 and served with honor and distinction as a Board of Director, Executive Committee member, Officer and ultimately as Board Chair. After fulfilling his duty as Board Chair, Bailus continued as an Honorary Board member.

 

Bailus was an original Board member of the SAFE program from 2004 to present. From 2008 to present, he was a member of the 2nd Chance Advisory Board, including 8 years as the Chairman.

Bailus was passionate, supportive and was always a respected voice in all things related to the Crime Commission and our programs. He will be deeply missed.
