Each fall the Crime Commission holds its signature event: the Crime Commission Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Luncheon. The luncheon provides the business community an opportunity to show support for law enforecement officials who protect our cities and loved ones, and in many cases do so at risk to their own lives. Together we show law enfocement that the citizens they protect appreciate and support them.
Business leaders, law enforcement executives, and community leaders attend this important event that has grown to an audience of more than 650 distinguished guests. Four prestigious awards are presented at the Annual Luncheon, including the Clarence M. Kelley Award. The Kansas City Chapter of ASIS International, in conjuction with the Crime Commission, presents this highly regarded award to a Criminal Justice Executive in the Kansas City metropolitan area who is an excellent administrator, proactive in their approach and dedicated to improving the criminal justice system. The winner of this highly regarded award is kept secret until the luncheon.

Back to TopThe Crime Stoppers Fundraiser at Arrowhead is known by attendees as the most enjoyable event to attend all year! Former Chiefs players host attendees to a night of live music, drinks, great food, live auction and more! Held in the Pavilion at Arrowhead Stadium, you don't want to miss this fun night that attracts over 250 attendees!
Our live auction has become the most popular part of the night with items worth thousands! We have autographed sports memorabilia, travel packages, hotel stays and more! Area law enforcement agencies battle for the "best basket" as they contribute a gift basket filled with valuable gift certificates, collectibles and more! You'll find auction items ranging from tools, to commercial-style beverage coolers, to Las Vegas style slot machines!
We also have raffle prizes, silent auction items, the Wheel of Fortune, a certificate drawing, and the "Taste of Kansas City" buffet lets you enjoy dishes from some of Kansas City's best restaurants! Live music is performed by "No Cash Value" all night until the last guest leaves!
Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the 15th Annual Fundraiser at Arrowhead that was held Saturday, November 12, 2011. You helped raise over $54,500 for Crime Stoppers!

Back to TopEach year Crime Stoppers holds an Annual Appreciation Breakfast to thank area law enforcement, media partners, and other organizations for all the help they provide throughout the year. These individuals help make Crime Stoppers successful and this event is our way of thanking them for all their hard work and dedication. Many awards are presented, including our Annual Scholarship Contest winners.
The 2012 Crime Stoppers Appreciation Breakfast will be held Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the Crowne Plaza Kansas City Downtown Hotel. We anticipate a great crowd as we honor many agencies, departments, and individuals for their exceptional support to Crime Stoppers throughout 2011. Back to TopThe Surviving Spouse And Family Endowment Fund, "SAFE" exists to support the families of Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighters and Emergency Services Personnel in the Kansas City metropolitan area who have perished while protecting our community and our citizens. In an effort to help ease the pain felt by these suffering families, SAFE provides emotional and financial support. In this way, we hope to repay some of the kindness and dedication these heroes have shown us and the ultimate sacrifice they have made for us.
